- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
5. Payment and Subscriptions
5.1 Subscription Plans
We offer the following subscription plans (prices in CAD):
- Solo (Free): Up to 50 registrations/month, 3 programs, 3 counselors, 100 campers, 1 location. 2.0% platform fee on program payments.
- Team ($79/month): Up to 300 registrations/month, 10 programs, 15 counselors, 500 campers, 2 locations. 1.5% platform fee on program payments. Includes basic financials (revenue overview, outstanding payments and transaction history) and the audit log with CSV export.
- Multi-site ($149/month): Up to 2,000 registrations/month, 25 programs, 50 counselors, 3,000 campers, 5 locations. 1.0% platform fee on program payments. Includes everything in Team, plus advanced financials (payment trends, program revenue and financial exports) and reports.
- Network ($599/month): Unlimited registrations, programs, counselors, campers, and locations. 0.5% platform fee on program payments. Includes everything in Multi-site, plus a 2-hour founder-led onboarding (data import and Stripe Connect setup).
5.2 Platform Fees
In addition to subscription fees, we charge a platform fee on program payments collected through the Service. This fee varies by plan (2.0% for Solo, 1.5% for Team, 1.0% for Multi-site, 0.5% for Network) and is separate from Stripe's payment processing fees.
5.3 Stripe Connect and Payouts
Program registration payments are processed through Stripe Connect. Each location connects a Stripe Express account to receive payouts. Campix acts as the platform facilitator. Your organization is the merchant of record for all registration transactions. You are responsible for the accuracy of your Stripe account information and for any disputes or chargebacks arising from your registrations.
Payouts to a newly connected Stripe account are held for 14 days after each payment. A new organization can collect up to 10 paid registrations online in its first 72 hours; contact us if you need more before then.
5.4 Sales Tax
The Service provides optional tools to calculate and collect sales tax (e.g., HST, GST, PST) on registration fees. If you enable sales tax collection, you are solely responsible for:
- Determining whether you are required to collect and remit sales tax in your jurisdiction
- Registering with the appropriate tax authority (e.g., CRA for Canadian taxes)
- Configuring the correct tax rate and label for your province or region
- Remitting all collected tax to the applicable tax authority on time
- Maintaining accurate tax records and filing required returns
Campix provides tax calculation as a convenience tool only. We do not verify tax rates, remit tax on your behalf, or provide tax advice. We are not liable for any penalties, interest, or assessments resulting from incorrect tax collection or failure to remit. Consult a qualified tax professional for guidance on your obligations.
5.5 Billing Terms
- Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance via Stripe
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice
- Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your organization moves to the free Solo plan
- Unpaid invoices may result in service suspension after reasonable notice
5.6 Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However:
- 30-day trial: New organizations receive a 30-day Team trial at no charge. No payment is required during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your organization moves to the free Solo plan unless you choose a paid plan, and your data stays in your account.
- Billing errors: If you are charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charge.
- Service unavailability: If the Service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to causes within our control, you may request a pro-rated credit for the affected period.
- Statutory rights: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
To request a refund, contact billing@campix.io with your organization name and billing details.

11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for the resolution of any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.
Mandatory consumer-protection laws. Nothing in this Section limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your province, state, or country of residence, including the Quebec Consumer Protection Act and Civil Code of Quebec, the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, and analogous consumer-protection or data-protection laws of the European Union, United Kingdom, or United States. Where those laws grant rights that cannot be waived by agreement, those rights continue to apply notwithstanding the choice of Ontario law above.
11a. Force Majeure
Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms (other than your obligation to pay fees) caused by events beyond that party's reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental action, labour disputes, internet or telecommunications outages, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers (including without limitation Stripe, Supabase, Resend, OpenAI, and Vercel). Service-availability remedies under Section 5.6 continue to apply for outages within our reasonable control.
11b. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Campix, its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your or your organization's violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use policy in Section 4; (b) content you upload or generate through the Service, including waiver text, custom-field values, photos, or marketing communications; (c) your handling of camper, guardian, or counselor personal information in violation of applicable privacy law (including PIPEDA, PHIPA, Quebec Law 25, GDPR, COPPA, or CCPA); (d) any tax assessment or penalty arising from your configuration or use of the sales-tax features; and (e) any dispute between you and a camper, guardian, counselor, or third party arising from your operation of programs through the Service. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defence.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@campix.io. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue formal legal proceedings in accordance with Section 11.
